If you’re looking for an example of inane, inside-the-beltway drivel that percolates on a slow news day, this Times piece from yesterday will do: Bipartisan Agreement: Obama Isn’t Schmoozing

I particularly liked this nugget:

On Capitol Hill, Republicans say they rarely hear from the president, and members of his own party complain that Mr. Obama and his top aides are handicapping themselves by not reaching out enough.

Well, when you won’t take collect calls from Kenya, this kind of thing is bound to happen.
